About Back to New England – The song started to come to me in Florida. I asked a friend Chris Carnevale to write some sort of prose about someone traveling from somwhere coming back to New England.
I worked on a melody in drop D tuning but the words didn’t fit. So when I got home from Florida I played what I had for my brother Mike, he changed the words around wrote some new ones and we finished the song. It’s the one song when I play it anywhere people always say how much they like the song, sometimes ask me play it twice.
